After years of working for established builders, Alex decided in 2017 to hang his own shingle and start Bucktide. First priority? Build a custom home for his grandmother, designed by his mom. And this project became the genesis and the legacy of Bucktide.
His grandmother loved her previous home, but the land on which it sat was returning to the Suquamish tribe. Certain sentimental items from her previous home were salvaged and incorporated into her new home, including the front door, wood fireplace carving insert, and a sliding fir blackout shutter/shade.
